Translation of Denjong Neyig (Prediction Guide to the Sacred Hidden Land)

Denjong Neyig (Prediction Guide to the Sacred Hidden Land) was originally written in Tibetan by Rigzin Godhem Chen (1337-1408), the 14th century Nyingmapa scholar-saint.  Sikkim is known as the blessed land of Guru Padmasambhava, and for this reason, Buddhists from all over the world visit Sikkim on pilgrimage.

The Neyig describes the physical features of the sacred hidden land or beyul. This project aims to translate the Tibetan text into English in order to provide information about the sacred hidden land and authenticate the existing places of pilgrimage.

This translation project is being carried out by Mr Tashi Tenzing, Research Consultant, NIT.
